Motivation is a thing that can easily come and go at any given time. We have the choice to give in to our lack of motivation and skip out on the gym or prep healthy meals. The truth is, skipping the gym is not an option for me. There used to be a time where my lack of motivation or “I am too busy” excuses would trump the gym. But now, I have engrained the habit of going to the gym that even my lack of motivation or excuses I make up in my head can’t get me to miss a session. I have goals, I am determined to meet those goals and I am willing to put in the work to make those things happen.
I am not motivated everyday to get in a workout and not all my workouts are great. Some days my workout might even be the last thing that I do because I push it off, but you know what, I still get it done. I have created the healthy habit of daily exercise which keeps me on track with eating nutrient dense meals which helps me stay energize and focused throughout the day which makes for productive days. Do you see the pattern? The more we hold ourselves accountable and sticking to good habits, other things start to align too. Is your lack of motivation keeping you away from your health habits? Don’t even make not going or not doing it an option and sooner or later you will run out of excuses.
