Spring has finally sprung in Wisconsin and it couldn’t be any sweeter! Over the weekend I grilled twice and took the pup on a couple walks WITHOUT having to be bundled up. It warmed up at the most perfect time because dresses are becoming my go to wardrobe of choice. Why you ask? Well, besides athletic clothes, they are the only thing that fits comfortably right now!
Now that it has finally warmed up and the snow has stopped falling summer actually feels real and even though I’ll be sporting a nice round belly all summer long doesn’t mean I don’t have any health and fitness goals. Speaking of goals, are you currently working towards one? Having a goal to strive for no matter the time of year or life circumstances is a key component to sustaining a long term healthy lifestyle. I am a firm believer of having a larger goal with small supporting goals that eventually take you to your desired end result. Big goals can be daunting and if it is the only focus it can be easy to get discourage when it seems so far away. Instead, create small goals for yourself either on a daily, weekly or monthly basis and do check ins with yourself to see if what you are doing is aligning with what you want to achieve.
My main goal at the moment is to have the healthiest pregnancy I can to aid in a healthy baby, smoother labor and quicker healing process post baby. Each week I have my exercise goals to hit, goal to fuel my body with the best available food, and to educate myself and implement techniques and protocols to have a smooth labor and postpartum. Without these smaller goals and focuses it would be pretty easy to get overwhelmed about reaching my end result. My smaller weekly goals help my mind stay at ease and for me to stay motivated and determined to keep going. If you are feeling overwhelmed and discouraged about reaching your goal, break it down and start with smaller goals and keep moving forward!
Now that the sun is out all I want to do is make spring and summer inspired recipes and these Raspberry Banana Chia Seed Frozen Yogurt Pops were at the top of my list! I will be keeping these in the freezer all summer long as they will be perfect to cool down while getting in a sweet frozen and healthy treat!
