The holidays are officially over and sadly, we all must go back to reality. The holidays treated me well this year and I am now stocked with all sorts of kitchen gadgets to play with! It is also the time of year to get our nutrition back on track and detox from all of the treats that were indulged in 😉 This smoothie bowl will be a great start! It is Whole30 and 21 Day Sugar Detox compatible with NO added sugar. Along with getting my nutrition back on track, I also need to get my workouts back on track! #slacker. With a little break from the gym lately, I am ready to hit it hard and start hitting some of my goals! Goals are a great way to keep yourself motivated and accountable. I set short-term goals every 2-3 months (well I used to anyways) and there is something so satisfying hitting those goals and seeing all the hard work pay off!
Chia seeds are packed full of omega 3-fatty acids, fiber, protein and minerals! It is so easy to just throw them in random things for a nutrient rich fix and energy boost. Another powerhouse in this smoothie is the cranberries. They dominate with antioxidants and they are also known to fight against cancer. #BOOM
Even though it is insanely cold outside, swimsuit season is just around the corner! Now is the time to start working hard and locking up our nutrition! Goals, determination and consistency will lead to success and a happier, healthier you!

Mags, you can cut this recipe in half and make it in the Ninja Bullet!

Fresh spinach vs. frozen spinach shouldn’t matter, right??
Brooke
Nope! Sometimes I don’t use up all of my spinach before it goes bad so I throw it in a zippy bag and pop it in the freezer for smoothies so I am not wasting it! I also wanted to use frozen because I wanted the smoothie to be thick and the frozen spinach added a little bit more thickness to it. Fresh will be just fine though 🙂
