It’s hot, it’s sticky and that’s why I am sharing not one, but two smoothie recipes this week! Also, because I have been a tad MIA recently because…life. So sad that yesterday was the longest day of the year. It is crazy to think that days will start getting shorter, ALREADY! #wtf
This weekend I went to Lambeau Field and attended my 4th Kenny Chesney concert! It was absolutely amazing and so much fun! If anyone has tickets for his Target Field show and can’t make it anymore, let me know!
I am going to keep this post short and sweet and get right to the recipes. These smoothies would be great to kick start your day before a tough workout. They are simple and take no time at all to make. If you haven’t noticed, I like to make and share easy and quick recipes. Life is busy for everyone and I just want to make eating paleo/healthy as simple and appealing as possible. When I first started paleo, I was intimidated because the recipes I found had a bajillion ingredients and half of them I had no clue what they even were. So, here are two KISS smoothie recipes to get your day started. Remember, if you want more information about “is coffee paleo” check-out this post.
Monkey Tail Smoothie
- 1 1/2 frozen bananas
- 1 cup almond milk
- 2 tbls unsweetened cocoa powder (feel free to substitute 1 scoop chocolate protein to 1 tbls cocoa powder)
- 1 tbls unsweetened coconut flakes
- few ice cubes
- Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth
- Slurp slurp
This next smoothie was my favorite of the two. A little caffeine and protein is one of the best ways I like to start my day!
Chocolate Coffee Smoothie
- 1 frozen banana
- 1 cup chilled strong brewed coffee
- 1 tbls cocoa powder
- 1 scoop chocolate protein
- few ice cubes
- Please all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth
- Slurpy slurp
