Cookie Dough Frozen Yogurt

I had two choices this morning. With it being my first day back to work after an entire week off I could have woken up with a negative state of mind because it was back to the j.o.b. or I could wake up with a positive state of mind ready to take on the week. As much as my mind wanted to wander towards the negatives of having to go back to work, I shoved those thoughts aside and decided to have a great Monday back. Because that’s just the thing, having a positive state of mind is a choice. It is controllable. Just like having a negative state of mind is a choice. The good news about having a negative state of mind though, is that it can be changed within a heartbeat. That’s all it takes to change your thoughts around and look at situations differently.

I could have woken up grumpy today that I had to go to work. Instead, I woke up feeling thankful that I had a job to go to. I could have gotten upset when my gas light came on this morning, but instead I was thankful I have a vehicle to get me places. I could have felt entirely overwhelmed by the amount of work I had waiting for me and endless to-do lists but I am happy to be busy and take on challenges that will further my future. And just like that, your state of mind can switch within seconds because it is all how you look at the situation. Shitty things happen all the time and bad luck strikes its chord here and there but all of those situations are temporary and can change just as fast as they happened. The next time you feel mad, anxious, annoyed or unmotivated give your state of mind a check. How can you change your state of mind to feel happy, relaxed, grateful or motivated? It might not be easy, but I can guarantee you it will be worth it.

I was in need of a sweet treat so I developed this recipe and it is so simple that it is a must make! Make a batch and store it in your freezer for when you want to give yourself a little treat!

Cookie Dough Frozen Yogurt

  • 1 batch Edible Cookie Dough
  • 2 frozen bananas
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp honey

  • Make the Edible Cookie Dough and roll it into small bite sized balls. Set aside.
  • Add the frozen bananas, yogurt, vanilla and honey into a food processor and pulse until smooth. Transfer the yogurt mixture to a parchment paper lined bread pan. Toss in the cookie dough bites and mix well. Place in freezer for 2 plus hours.
  • Remove from freezer 10-15 minutes before serving and enjoy!
