I had someone ask me this weekend how I have it all figured out in the terms of my health and fitness. They continued on with saying I have my workouts all figured out and nutrition on point. “You just know exactly what to do”, they said. I somewhat laughed because when I think of my health and fitness I feel far from having it all figured out. I have been working on me for many years and am still working on the ideal me as I as a person evolve physically and mentally. I may seem like I have it together because of a few things I have consistently been doing since I decided to commit to my health. I plan ahead and think of any obstacles that may stand in my way of achieving my goals and work hard to overcome them. I am human just like the rest of us living an imperfect life, striving towards goals that sometimes seem far fetched and is faced with many challenges along the way. I am well aware that life isn’t all sunshine and rainbows and there are going to be obstacles to overcome to reach my ideal life. So, the best thing to do is anticipate and make plans for when things don’t go as planned and how to deal when that happens. Two quick questions you can ask yourself to help with this is:
- What is most likely to get in the way of accomplishing my goal?
- What is something I can do today to help me overcome these obstacles?
For a lot of people, it might be taking a little extra time on a Sunday to plan and prep convenient meals for the week. For others it could be working out first thing in the morning to make sure the workout gets in. The more you can plan ahead and anticipate what might throw you off track, the more you can prepare and be ready to face the obstacles when it happens. Things will go wrong, your plan will not go as planned so don’t be surprised when that happens. Instead, prepare yourself by consistently planning ahead with the best tools and strategies to overcome those obstacles. So, what is most likely to get in your way of accomplishing your goal and what is one think you can do today to overcome it? Then do it.
I haven’t tasted pancakes this good in a really long time! I am calling them the Real Deal Pancakes because they legit taste like normal flour and gluten filled pancakes at restaurants. The best part, they are made with amazing health ingredients and contain absolutely no gluten! You must make these immediately.

- 1 cup almond flour
- ¼ cup coconut flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- pinch of salt
- 3 eggs
- ¼ cup + 3 tbsp coconut milk (carton)

- Place the dry ingredients in a bowl and sift until well combined. Add the wet ingredients to a large bowl and whisk until well combined. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix with a large spoon until smooth.
