Wisconsin has to get it’s ish together and give us some spring weather. This is getting a bit redic. High of 25 degrees today with winds and snow flurries. Excellent. BUT! It is Friday and I have a brand new workout for you! I headed back to my hometown earlier this week for my monthly free Fitness Happy Hour class and we got in a nice sweaty HIIT circuit. Circuits like these are great because they integrate cardio with strength and with the burst of work and then rest your body is burning more energy (calories) after the workout for a longer period of time to get the body back to homeostasis. HIIT is a win win and most times you can do all body weight movements so no need to worry about making time for the gym. Now, make this a fierce Friday by getting in a killer sweat sesh!
3 Round HIIT Circuit
3 rounds – 45 seconds on 15 seconds rest
– suicide sprints
– diamond push-ups
– squat with a kick (alternating)
– dead bugs
– bear crawls
– superman hold
– side lunges
– pike or handstand hold
– long jump with jog back
– plank up downs
2 minute rest
