Happy Friday Friends! Today marks exactly 10 days until baby’s due date! My curiosity and impatient nature is beginning to kick in. Maybe she will have a little bit of my impatiences and make her worldly entrance sooner rather than later. One can only hope!
Speaking of being pregnant, yesterday I shared a bit realness on my social media. I promised myself that I would be honest, real and raw through this entire process and this week has been a bit tough. All week I haven’t been feeling like myself and I can tell the most during my workouts. This has been hard on me all week because working out has been the one thing keeping me sane and feeling like my most self throughout this pregnancy. With being almost 39 weeks pregnant I am being told to rest, give myself grace and relax. Sure, I guess that makes sense because I am prepping for a huge physical endeavor but resting and relaxing isn’t who I am. Even though my workouts have been suffering this week doesn’t mean you still won’t find me at the gym or getting in daily movement. Without it, I feel lost and like I am losing a piece of me. I will soon be a mom and giving all of me to be the best mom possible to our little girl, but I still need to feel like me in order to do that. And the me I love most and who I know can give the most is the me that is on the go and getting in movement daily.
Today’s daily movement will be in the form of a quick 20 minute AMRAP. I like to do higher intensity, quick workouts on Fridays because I am usually gearing up for a pack filled weekend and don’t have the time to spend a lot of time in the gym. If you are in need of a quick workout too, give this one a try!
20 Minute Row AMRAP
– 500 meter row
– 30 body weight sumo squats
– 20 tricep dips
– 10 burpees
