We have been hit hard with some cold weather lately which is making me crave all the warm meals! I have been living on curry, bone broth and this chili and I am not mad about it. This chili is so incredibly easy to make and is really yummy. Avri gobbled it up too!
If you are wanting all the chili recipes because fall seemed to turn into winter in 2.5 seconds where you live too, check out my Mexican Chicken Chili and Crockpot Turkey Chili.
I love making chili in my crockpot and that is exactly what I did in this recipe. But, you can also make this entire recipe on the stove top. Instead of adding everything to a crockpot, add everything to a large pot. Bring to a bowl and then reduce heat and let simmer. The longer you let it simmer the more the flavors will come out in the dish.
I hope you enjoy the crazy simple, comforting and delicious meal!
- 2lbs ground beef
- 1 28oz can diced tomatoes
- ¼ cup balsamic vinegar
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp chili powder
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp oregano
- 1 tsp cumin
- ¼ tsp cayenne pepper
- optional toppings: cheese (I used dairy-free), green onion, cilantro
- Place a skillet on the stove over medium high heat and add the ground beef. Brown until halfway cooked and transfer to a crockpot.
- Add the remaining ingredients to the crockpot and mix well. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
- Top with your favorite chili toppings and enjoy!
